class trip, baby.

well we've decided to split the myriad of things to talk about that happened on the class trip between us all. i've got the paintballing. most excellent.

well okay. so we start out at school at 7 in the morning loading the bags, etc... then starts the 4 hour bus ride to atl.  it was kinda boring, people brought forbidden electronics, unfortunately i think  one or two got caught on the other bus, i'm a bit disappointed that i didn't bring my ipod, because the teachers on my bus didn't look back once.  anyways.  we watched movies, watched  various people moon truckers, listened to music, slept, had a good time.  i was on the bus with #2 while #1 and #3 were on the other one.  the hotel was nice...westin inn, i had three guys in my room that i'm pretty good friends with so that was a ton of fun.

on friday we went paintballing, which was incredible.  it was my first time to play so i had a great time.  i was on the green team with some other pretty skilled paintballers so we had the best team, either winning or tieing every game. when we got there we had to get our gear and listen to the adults talk about rules for what seemed way too long, ate lunch, all that.  then the domination commenced.

my first game i picked up fast, you basically pull the trigger when you see a head pop out  or a body run somewhere.  learned how the gun worked and how it feels to get hit. got welts in 2 or 3 places. anyways it was loads of fun, primarily because my team dominated and cause i like shooting things.  if you havn't played paintball, go do it.  i wanna buy a gun to play with in nashville.

yeah, but i'm not supposed to tell you about the coke museum, underground atlanta, or the braves game.  that's someone else's story somewhere out there.  but i will ask of you one thing: if you find a picture of someone's ass on the window of a bus on the highway in atl, please send it to me. i think we'd all get a kick out of that. email is [email protected]

Baseball

Since six flags was rained-out, the best part of our class trip to Atlanta this weekend was the meeting of former Oakland A's teammates Mark Mulder a Tim Hudson at satan's palace Tuner Field.  I rooted for the not-Braves (Cardinals) and wore my Mets hat in spite of the Braves fans.  I was also the only kid in my class to bring his baseball glove (catcher's mitt) and if the wind decided to blow the ball a section over I would have walked away with an Albert Puljos homer.
It was the tacit consent of my friend Brian and I to sit together, being the only die-hard baseball fans in the grade.  He is a Mariners fan and decided to root for the Cardinals also.  The baseball n00b next to us (blogger #2) decided at the very end to suddenly root for sell his soul to the Braves.  However in the ninth inning, superstitious baseball fans prevailed over a crowd of thousands as Brian and I chanted, in a language we weren't sure existed, "Ho-Si-Min-Tao" at different times during the pitchers wind up.  Of course it worked every time and the cardinals closed the game, winning 6 to 5.

okay, here's the plan

Over the course of this school year I have exploited my homeroom teacher/adviser's tolerance for my  antics before school in the morning. Thus  I have taken over and declared independent of his rule 14 of the 18 desks in his classroom.  The mainland where I exert direct rule include the seven red rectangles on your left.  The three to your far right no one sits in and  I really just use to sleep on.  The ones colored light blue are my territory but are self-governed.  The dark blue are still under his control, the large one at the top is his desk with the computer.  The plan is that my minions classmates will move in as shown on the map and then we will take the desk and make him sign an unconditional surrender (I've held his swivel chair as a POW for a whole week but he got it back).  Once he is mine I will charge him to use the computer and enforce a breathing tax.  Hope this makes school a wee bit more fun.

Momma's boy

If you don't know, the ol' MBofA we attend is often said to stand for Momma's Boy Academy, and today at the mother son breakfast we took that stereotype and embraced as the seniors refereed to us as momma's boys.  I resented it seeing as we aren't all wusses.  That was until a senior got up and talked about the shock he experienced when his mom asked to borrow his Green Day Cd's. But here's the crazy part. He then went on to tell us in case you didn't know Green Day is a heavy metal punk band.  Maybe we deserve the name.

#1 <3's little boys

today, #1 and i made a bet.  a few days earlier #1 said he wanted to be a priest or was interested in priesthood (of the roman catholic faith, namely).  recently i have been nagging him about it, knowing that he will not become a priest in the end.  so today i said "i bet you $10 that you will not end up being a priest."  so he thought about it and took me up on the bet and we have decided to make a "treaty" or put the bet into legal terms in black and white, so when he loses and doesn't wanna pay me, i'll take him downtown. the contract (someone give me the word i am looking for please.)  is as follows:

-- if #1 becomes a priest, monk, brother, etc. or any other religious position of any religion (christianity, buddhism, judaism, hinuism, muslim, various pagan faiths, etc.) where he devotes his life to it, i, #4, i'll pay him $10, which will probably be given to his church or charity of choice, since he will be sworn to poverty.

-- if his occupation or the main part of it is involved with theology or a religion as mentioned above, but is not entirely devoted to it, we will both pay $5 to a charity of my choice.

-- HOWEVER! if his occupation does not involve religion majorly, he will pay me $10. no questions asked. cold hard cash.  (the $10 cannot be exchanged for a lifetime of mass services and jesus wafers.) period.

i made this bet with him because i know he will not end up being a priest, for many reasons that you can ponder upon by yourselves. besides, this is kindof a win-win situation for me.  if he becomes a priest, my money will go to the starving kids with AIDS in africa/homeless dudes in the US of A/drug addicts, etc., etc. if i win, and he is not a priest, i get $10 which i could spend on many things, such as half of a cd or gas money (i need a car..) or even some strawberries.

re-read the post.  i believe if you include the title with the post it'll say something like "no more people, and even if we were expanding, we wouldn't accept you." 

and no, i don't know what an imam is either.

Pope Post

Ahh sweet alliteration...
Well...new pope (w00t Catholics).  I was rooting for the Mexican cardinal but Ratzinger I like too.  I like how he doesn't care how many people leave the church as long as he has a core following to rebuild on (same game-plan as St. Benedict, hence the name).  He will probably die before this happens, but I like the way he is going to get the Church heading.
